Financial Accounts Assistant

My client, a Financial services firm based in the WEST END, is seeking an accomplished FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT to join them on an interim basis for 6 months. This is a great chance to join this global business with the chance to go permanent for the right person.

THE ROLE

Join as part of the Finance team responsible for reporting on the Balance sheet and Profit and loss of the UK business and UK Group.

As a member of the finance team your responsibilities would cover all parts of the financial reporting process. In the role you would get experience in daily and monthly accounting processes and provide cover to colleagues on an ad hoc basis. Typical day to day activities would include:

Preparing and processing daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc management reports in a timely, effective and accurate manner for management review. Accounting entries and reports for the business and Group.
Preparing and processing a portion of the month-end journals.
Preparing month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
Answering accounting queries from the business or the Financial Control team.
Provide cover for other team members.IDEAL PERSON
-Numerate / business based qualifications with an interest in accounting
-Registered with a professional accountancy body and working towards qualification with that body
-Intermediate to strong Excel skills.

-Strong communication skills.
