Finance Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £51,600 per year

Finance Manager required to join a well-established transportation company in the Ipswich office. They are seeking an experienced Company Accountant who will be tasked with supporting the finance manager with the reporting, budgeting and also the day to day construction of accounts and monthly wages. This is a full time permanent opportunity working seeking a AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualified Group Accountant who will train, oversee and work closely with the finance team so the work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard.

Finance Manager Position Overview

Reviewing and finalising the monthly management accounts and assisting with the preparation of the board meeting reports

Collating and preparing the monthly salaries

Assisting with the preparation of the annual budgets and rolling monthly forecasts

Monitoring and managing the daily cashflow and projecting the monthly cashflow requirements

Producing monthly job costings reports, analysing them and reporting on adverse variances

Manage, train and support the small finance team in terms of both the finance work and their professional development

Finance Manager Position Requirements

Previous experience of managing a finance team is essential

Experience with Sage Line 50, Sage Payroll, Microsoft Excel & Outlook.

Hands on approach to teamwork

Good level of adaptability to unplanned changes in workload and deadlines.

Background in FMCG or Transport and Logistics is preferable

Excellent problem-solving, mathematical, analytical as well as critical thinking skills.

Finance Manager Position Remuneration

£42,000 – £51,600 per annum

Monday to Friday – 8.30am – 5.15pm

25 days holiday plus bank holidays
