As such, we are looking for a polished, professional claims handler who can be empathetic to clients in the event of the claim, but also stand firm to insurers and challenge them on their decisions, should repudiation be on the cards. Over time, you will be allocated a varied caseload of up to around 200-250 files covering all kinds of losses. Depending on your

experience , these will likely be slightly biased to Motor claims over Liability then Property cases. As well as proactively handling claims on a cradle to grave basis, you will also help ‘account manage’ clients from a claims-perspective; for example conducting claims reviews, dealing with management information and visiting them onsite. We welcome applications from candidates from broking, underwriting and legal backgrounds, including both cross-class Claims Handlers, as well as those with just mono-line

experience who are keen to build up their exposure to other commercial lines. In order to secure positive results in the event of your clients suffering a loss, you must be highly analytical, have a keen eye for detail, and first-class negotiation

skills . You should also be well-organised, with excellent task-management

skills . It is also essential that you are numerate with good IT
