Interim Procurement Manager – Transport Programme

Interim Procurement Manager (Transport Programme) East Midlands (Hybrid Working) 6-month contract Day rate (inside scope) We are supporting a regional public sector organisation to appoint an Interim Procurement Manager to support delivery across a high-profile transport programme . This is a key role within a growing combined authority environment, offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-value procurement activity that will directly support infrastructure and regional development.

The Role You will take the lead on a range of procurement and commercial activities , supporting the delivery of services within the transport programme. Key

responsibilities include: Leading end-to-end procurement exercises , from scoping through to award Providing expert guidance on procurement strategy, routes to market, and compliance Supporting commissioners to develop business cases and procurement approaches Managing tender processes, evaluations, and documentation Building effective supplier relationships and supporting contract performance Ensuring procurement activity aligns with public sector regulations and best practice . About You We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who can operate confidently in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment . You will bring: Strong

experience delivering public sector procurement projects Proven track record across services procurement , ideally linked to infrastructure or transport Sound knowledge of UK procurement legislation and frameworks

Experience managing multiple complex procurements simultaneously Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing

skills Ability to work autonomously and at pace in an interim capacity. CIPS qualification (or equivalent
