Area Sales Manager – Housing

My client are national builder operating in the new build housing sector delivering private developments to the older marker sector. The company are currently going through exciting times with growth plans over the next 2-3 years to double in size as a business, with this in mind they have a requirement for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join South East region (Berkshire, Surrey & Oxfordshire).

As an Area Sales Manager you will report to the Sales Director and will be responsible for leading a sales team and motivating and supporting your team to achieve company goals and sales targets. You will closely monitor sales within your area and develop remedial action plans to ensure that underperforming sites are turned around. This role is heavily leadership and team management focussed but will also require you to liaise with other departments and sales team members in order to achieve the goals.

The successful candidate will have previous customer-focussed experience is a pre-requisite, gained as a manager with a new build housing developer. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, tact, ability to handle and manage difficult conversations and to influence others are also essential.
