This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and innovative charity, which supports young people aged 11-25 who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homless.

They are focused on empowering young people to achieve independence and provide a range of opportunities to optimise their talents and achieve excellent outcomes.

The Accommodation Service Coordinator will take responsibility for managing all aspects of accommodation across a staged model, encompassing an intensive on-site residential service, together with community based, semi-independent living settings and placements with host families.

The role will be responsible for ensuring that the accommodation services are appropriately managed, improving outcomes and providing a platform for young people to achieve their goals.

There will be a high emphais on monitoring quality assurance to evidence high standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

– ensure staff have development needs met through Personal Development Plans and regular supervisions.

– overall responsibility for maintenance of accommodation areas.

– produce and maintain rolling staff rota.

– contribute to and fully implement organisational policies and procedures and ensure staff abide by these.

– ensure records of support provision are up to date and accurately maintained.

– ensure weekly/monthly and quarterly returns are completed on time.

– represent organisation at housing panels, external agency liaisons and other partnership meetings.

– manage all finances relating to the service in accordance with financial policies and procedures.

– develop and maintain effective communication systems within the service.

– contribute to project work and development initiatives with Line Manager

– take part in an on-call rota, providing out of hours advice and guidance to staff and hosts, in case of incidents or emergencies.

Requirements

We are looking for a forward thinking, proactive and inspirational leader, who sees things to the end and isn’t afraid to confront challenges, with a genuine passion for working with young people.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience and expertise in leading and developing a team, including recruitment, training and line management of support workers and volunteers.

This role would suit any existing accommodation / support service manager, or a senior support worker / team leader / deputy manager, with leadership skills and desire to grow and develop in the next stage of their career.
