A new vacancy has arisen within this general insurance brokerage for an Account Handler in Leeds. This is a fixed term contract to mid December 2015. The role within the Commercial Scheme division is for an experienced Account Handler. To provide excellent customer service to all clients whilst continuing to maximise client retention and enhance the revenue streams from the existing client base. You will be placing and renewing scheme related insurance under delegated authority facilities. Working closely with direct clients and/or Account Executives to ensure that all client instructions and requirements are handled promptly and accurately.
You will review and provide technical advice and opinion on clients’ and prospects’ insurance programmes. Putting together client/prospect risk presentations to forward to insurers and to negotiate insurance premiums and cover with insurers. Also undertaking general administration including mid-term adjustments & renewals. To deal with claims referrals (first advice) to Claims department and subsequent liaison with Claims Handlers.
It is essential for candidates to have proven Commercial insurance handling experience to be successful for this role. Individuals who have previously worked on schemes or Delegated Authority on a scheme would be advantageous. Candidates who are working towards their CII insurance exams or are keen to commence their studies would be preferred.
