Finance Officer (Maternity Cover)
TYPE: Part-Time
(03 Days per week)
Scope
The Finance Officer reports to the Director and is responsible for preparing financial statements, monthly management reports, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable
ledgers, maintaining cash flow controls, preparing the monthly payroll and personnel
administration, and managing office operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the principal operator of the accounting system package, currently QuickBooks Pro 2013
- Assist with the preparation of the financial and managerial reports
- Produce monthly management accounts on an accrual basis, P&L, Accounts Receivable and Payable Aged reports and analysis for the directors and regional managers as required.
- Prepare quarterly VAT reconciliations, returns and all other tax liability reports, as required
- Preparation of periodic receivables/credit control reports and interpreted qualitative information to director
- Monitor cash flow and produce cash flow reports for the Director, and performing periodic bank reconciliations on all bank accounts.
- Preparation of monthly invoices to all clients/local authorities (around 100-150 invoices per month) and forward onto relevant payable departments, making sure all the invoices are been paid within the given credit period.
- Post purchase bills to the system and manage effective working capital cycle ensuring receivables and payables been dealt effectively and timely manner.
- Sales and Purchase ledger reconciliations and attends as and when necessary to resolve any queries in respect of receivables and payables, and necessary journal adjustments to
QuickBooks. - Ensuring all the cheque receipts and monies are banked and posted onto the system accurately and timely.
- Monthly payroll management; month end payroll preparations ensuring all the staffs are paid timely and accurately making sure meeting the payroll cut-offs and monitoring the staff expenses.
Looking for someone who has minimum of 2 years experince in similiar role, who is either qualified or part qualified in ACCA or ACA, has a good working knowledge of quickbooks and excel
