Rocking Zebra recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Account Manager to develop strategic, long term relationships within approximately 60 allocated accounts of which several will be of FTSE 250 level.
The objective will be to operate at multi level with the customer, including managing multi-sited relationships in large, fully outsourced, sole supply, large scale, revenue high profit customers to ensure that business opportunities are maximised and company targets exceeded.
Key responsibilities
- Develop senior management and strategic relationships both internally and externally, providing an interface with customers to ensure the professional and timely delivery of services so that targets are achieved/exceeded.
- Act as an ambassador for the Company, retaining and developing existing customer relationships and by delivering exceptional customer service maximise revenue through existing business and identify new sales opportunities.
- Accountable for developing strategic, long relationships with multi sited/multi level customers eg international and UK based
- Developing relationships at Group level to develop and grow the international business
- Maintain and manage customer relationships to ensure development of the customer portfolio and ensure delivery of business targets, objectives and exceptional customer service.
- Contribute and promote sales strategy and direction through the delivery of business targets, budgets and objectives e.g. margin management and improved profitability.
- Develop and deliver, as required, Customer Development plans and performance reports against the business plan and forecast.
- Prepare documentation and lead discussion, present opportunities and seek approval to proceed
- Successful manage the delivery of ad hoc projects in support of business goals.
Characteristics & Experience
- Proven track record in a similar role with a customer base of £600m plus turnover including International businesses
- Leadership – ability to lead and inspire people from different departments to work together on deals
- Commercially astute
- Proven record of developing externally facing relationships
- Accountable for commercial relationship with client
- Preparing and presentation documentation to seek approval for a ‘deal’
- Co-ordination activity of people promoting different departments and sharing a single vision/strategy
- Responsible and accountable for maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring contracts are not lost
- Accountable for developing strategic and complex relationships with multi level customers eg fully outsourced, sole supply, large scale revenue, high profit customers
- Responsible for relationship at Group level
- Represent business at events
