Assistant Accountant

Global Media business looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their Accounts Team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller in a team of 6, duties will include:

• Input all relevant information and journals into Great Plains financial software package
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
• Prepare Daily Cash Monitor (DCM) reconciliation
• Treasury Confirmations
• Intercompany Netting Profit Reconciliation
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register
• Monthly Intercompany balance matching
• Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
• VAT partial exemption calculation
• Perform Sarbanes Oxley Treasury testing on a quarterly basis
• Provide assistance to accounting team

Requirements:

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent
• Ideally degree educated
• Solid Excel skills; experience of Great Plains advantageous, but not essential
• Solid accounting experience to include full sales and purchase ledger experience as well as some month end reconciliations experience
• Media experience advantageous but not essential
• Candidates must be outgoing and personable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
