Production Operative Permanent

Salary: £26,000 per year

The role will involve
Preparation of raw materials:
Review labels on raw material to ensure correct colour, lot & batch number before starting machine.
Carry out operation process checks to ensure machines are operating within production parameters.
• Operating equipment: verify and load materials in line with process instructions and procedures, take samples, unload materials and pack.
Document process figures and results.
• Performing quality control of products, from various processes, performing necessary adjustments according to existing procedures and reporting them to the Team Leader.
• Carry out all operations with compliance to the Quality and Operating procedure
• Ensure initial testing of products is completed and that there are no deviations to specifications.
• Ensure the perfect visual appearance of the finished products to be of the required standard.
• Packaging the final products according to the standard operating procedures and ensure that the final product is of standard quality level
• Maintain high quality expectations regarding all operations and packaging of the final product and encourage peers to do likewise
. • Maintain general housekeeping of plant and work area.
• Compliance with all legal and company EHS policies and procedures, reporting any deviation from safety instructions to ensure a secure working environment.
• Contributing to excellent teamwork across the site. • Carry out any other duties which may be requested from the Production Manager.

Minimum 2 years Manufacturing experience ie producing a product preferrably by operating machinery
Warehouse workers need not apply this is a Production position
Must have worked or are presently working in a manufacturing environment within the past 4 weeks – we will honour notice periods of up to 1 week if you are in another permanent job
Good levels of English and Maths – these will be tested before interview with the client
Have 2 great references that you can provide if successfully offered the job these must be from a manufacturing company
