Position: Production Operative
Location: Halifax
Duration: Permanent
Shift: 3 shift rotating weekly, 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
Salary: £26,000 per year’000 £18,000 per annum + Overtime + Company Pension + Additional Benefits

Job Overview
*Our client based in Halifax is an international engineering manufacturer. Due to expansion and existing growth plans we have an immediate requirement for a number of production operatives.
*In order to apply, applicants will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of carrying out production and manufacturing work.
*The primary focus of the position is to work as part of a team, operating plant machinery and equipment to manufacture our clients products.
*Ensuring optimum performance of machinery and equipment within the confines of Health and Safety and Environment and Quality.
*Adherence to all standards, procedures and work instructions

Duties and responsibilities will include:
*Operating of machine and equipment
*Ensure that all deviations from standards and reported to line manager
*Report any breakdowns to line manager
*Carry out total productive maintenance (TPM) tasks according to all standards
*Attend and participate in improvement activities
*Carry out basic maintenance work, plant cleaning and tool changing as required
*Packing
*Play an active part in the development and optimisation of standards
*Support process confirmation
*Maintain and improve 5s in all areas of work

Skill and Qualifications Required
*Proven experience gained within a manufacturing environment
*Team player
*Excellent communication skills
*Able to work on own initiative
*Computer literate
*Able to demonstrate a high level of flexibility and willingness to adapt to change
*Educated to GCSE/NVQ standard or equivalent
