Alandale Group of Companies specialise in the provision of bespoke logistics, scaffolding and security solutions to the construction industry within the UK and Europe.

We work with many of the major contractors on high profile projects and currently have 2 exciting positions for Quantity Surveyors within Alandale Logistics Ltd and Alandale Plant and Scaffolding Ltd. The positions will suit experienced Quantity Surveyors looking to be part of a thriving team with construction experience in Logistics or Scaffolding.

You will also need to be comfortable with calculating and preparing tender submissions, dealing with contract variations and quotations and calculating contract delivery cost and profit margins for high value complex projects. Both roles will require working across commercial and estimating teams.

The role will also include:

• Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures, such as residential developments, sports stadiums, roads and bridges, schools, hospitals, offices and factories etc
• Supporting junior QS in the duties outlined above
• Updating and providing progress reports to your Line Manager as and when required.
• Liaising with clients at all levels
• Ensuring that you represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
• Having relevant experience as a QS and demonstratable experience of understanding and negotiating contract terms.
• Have the ability to handle multi complex projects.
• Be methodical and attentive to detail
• Willing to invest in your own career progression by taking up training and development opportunities.

Suitable candidates will need to have a relevant qualification and sufficient experience in Quantity Surveying. Good written and verbal skills are a must, as is the ability to review contract conditions.
