Travel Helpdesk Co-ordinator and Travel Ticketing Consultant working for a large growing travel company in Merseyside, where you will be working flexible night shifts.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to assist and complete all ticket refunds on both BSP and SATA tickets plus all ancillary products. This Travel Operations role also involves providing support and assistance to divisional requirements to meet and maintain SLA’s and interface alongside the Finance Department on all refunds and BSP related matters with the ultimate aim of maximising efficiencies, minimising errors and ensuring all refunds are completed within the agreed timescales.
Key Accountabilities for this Travel Operation role:
* To support and assist on refunds and BSP related queries/problems from our branches
* To complete refund transactions on all required airline documents, insurance products and land products according to agreed timeframes
* Accurately report all Sales, Refunds and Exchanges to Group Flown Revenue Department
* To liaise with all airlines regarding any outstanding refunds to ensure all monies are returned from carrier within agreed timeframe
* Ensure all SATA tickets are reconciled correctly within the correct timeframes.
* To assist in the reconciliation of our monthly BSP billings looking at any overpayments and areas of discrepancies to ensure that all payments balance against our in-house legacy system
* To liaise with key areas of the business for any areas that fail audit check and suggest recommendations in order to reduce going forward
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
To work in this role you will ideally have experience in demonstrating, understanding of supplier payment and refund transactions. Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and have knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, excel & Outlook. Working knowledge of GDS (Amadeus or Sabre preferred)
Qualifications:
* Qualifications in Travel or relevant degree desirable but not essential, Proof of working night shifts will be required.
