Transport Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £60,000 per year

Our client is an established and highly reputable manaufacturer based in the Swadlincote area. Due to ongoing success, they are presently looking to appoint a Transport Manager.

Working for an employer that prides itself on people development, you would be expected to carry out the following duties:

• Take responsibility for a fleet of vehicles spread over several depots
• Ensure all vehicles are inspected, maintained, legal and roadworthy in line with current standards and legislation
• Ensure all drivers are suitably qualified and have been correctly trained
• Ensure all relevant changes are circulated in accordance with Operator Licence
• Manage and review audit systems
• Set and develop cost cutting exercises
• Identify any shortcomings and implement corrective measures

In order to carry out this role, candidates should be CPC qualified and be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. You should also be able to work under pressure, have great management ability and effective business management and analytical skills.
