Transport Shift Manager

The position is on Nights 18:00-06:00 on a 4on 4off rota.

Experience in transport is essential.

You will be required on a daily basis to undertake the following:
Plan, manage and control all operations activity, record KPI data, Track progress of drivers routes, delays, DOTS.
Deal with clients queries, delivery information and load issues.
Ensure all new drivers are properly inducted and training records kept.
Record and monitor holidays and sickness and report to General Manager on manning levels and availability.
Record and report all incidents, accidents as per company procedures.
Ensure all loads are planned and controlled and that they are all delivered on-time and in a safe manner
Assist the General manager with any tasks they need on a daily basis.
Experience and Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good IT skills, including spreadsheets, Word and email
Good organisational and time management skills
Able to work with minimum supervision and under own initiative
Experience in the transport industry essential
This is a temp to perm position, after completing 13 week temp to perm you will receive a full time contract with our client.
