Finance Manager

Salary: £36,000 – £44,400 per year

Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a public sector organisation in Sheffield that makes a huge difference to the people who use their services.

In this role you will be responsible for the all financial reporting for a number of sites, and for supporting budget holders, by providing them with sound financial support to aid their business decision making.

Responsibilities will include:

– Managing a finance team of four
– Advise and liaise with business leaders on budgetary controls, financial systems and processes.
– Maintain and/or oversee all central transactions organisation to include; VAT Returns and PAYE Settlement agreements, Central Procurement and recharges/inter-company transactions
– Preparation of management accounts for a number of sites
– Review monthly financial returns submitted; reconciliation of control accounts ensuring all transactions have been posted correctly
– Agree and set budgets to be reviewed by the Chief Operating Officer
– Work with the budget holder to ensure the working budgets reflect up to date
information and staffing structures
– Answer day to day finance queries
– Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts
– Review or preparation of journals as required
– Identify areas for training and development within the finance team
