Finance Manager

Salary: £42,000 per year

Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working exclusively with a family owned business based in Witham in recruiting a Finance Manager. Reporting to the MD and Senior Stakeholders you will be managing the whole Finance function and have the opportunity to add value and influence business strategy and decisions.

As a core member of the organisation you will be required to;

* Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions

* Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants

* Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary

* Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement

* Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company

* Research and analyse financial reports and market trends

* Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making

* Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports

* Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings

* Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes

* Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company

* Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

The Ideal candidate will have;

* AAT/CIMA level part qualified or equivalent

* Must have Sage experience

* Excellent MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook skills.

* Excellent Telephone and Written Communication skills

* Ability to interact professionally with staff, able to prioritise workload and be self-sufficient.

* A team player is required as the role entails active participation in the team, in addition to being able to work on their own

* Experience within an SME type environment would be desirable but not essential

* Salary up to £42,000DOE

* Working hours – Monday to Friday – 8:30 to 5:30
