Our client is a successful manufacturing company who are looking to appoint a Production Operations Manager for their busy processing site.

Reporting to the Groups Operational Division Manager, the role of the Production Operations Manager will be to effectively lead and manage teams across the whole manufacturing process, including Engineering and Logistics.

With a team of 5 direct reports the role is to oversee the day-to-day operations whilst ensuring the strategic plans of the group are also supported. The role or Production Operations Manager is to coach, motivate and inspire the manufacturing team to perform their own roles in the safest and most efficient way, to achieve quality products and on time deliveries.

Through effective communication and development of your team, you will also ensure the most cost-effective processes by minimizing waste of all kinds within the area of control.

You will identify & implement KPI’s and associated production improvement opportunities, reporting on current performance levels to the Operational Division Manager and other stakeholders. You will encourage an environment of continuous improvement and strive for manufacturing excellence and work closely with other senior colleagues to ensure that the company complies with its legal obligations.

We are looking for a result driven Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager ideally with experience in a food or chemical related manufacturing environment although this is not essential. Experience of GMP is also desirable.
