We are the Leading Independent Assessment Centre in the UK, offering access to a wide range of assessments that are normally out of reach to Private and Home Educated Candidates in a safe, calm and welcoming environment in our centres located across the UK.
Working hours: 8:30 – 4:30 Mon – Fri (flexible during exam times) full time.
We are looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for the financial health of Tutors & Exams Ltd. Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.
Finance Manager Responsibilities:
* Conduct the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, reconciliations, bill payments and other transactions
* Liaise with outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
* Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement and make recommendations where appropriate
* Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
* Research and analyse financial reports and market trends
* Provide insightful information and expectations to senior directors to aid in long-term and short-term decision making, in accordance with our 5 year business plan
* Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports, including end of year financial data analysis be prepared to present these in monthly/annual meetings with senior directors
* Carry out annual review of fees by the 31st May to ensure fees are appropriate and deliver a sufficient margin to maintain profitability
* Produce Tutors & Exams fees list and upload to website by the 1st September annually
* Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
* Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
* Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Finance Manager Skills and Qualifications:
Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field is preferable; several years of experience in a finance role desired but not required; superior mathematical skills; leadership skills and experience; understanding of data privacy standards; solid communication skills, both written and verbal; public speaking skills; deep understanding of business principles and practices; superior attention to detail; organisational skills; planning skills; research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills; computer skills; multi-tasking abilities; integrity, honesty.
Option to join the Company Pension Scheme after 3 months.
