About the client:
My client is a registered Children’s home with 4 registered homes within the Surrey and Sussex boarders. They are all located in rural locations.
The homes house young males between 13-18 years, often with various complex needs. They put the best interests and education of the Children first, and offer therapeutic care with education. My client is a great place to work and they are very proud of what they do.
About the role:
You will be working with teenage boys, constantly looking to educate and develop their skills. Challenging unacceptable behaviour, providing firm boundaries and care which meets each individual’s needs. The client has great resources and activities for the young boys to keep them occupied, help them build social skills and more. The role can be very rewarding and the right candidate would thrive within the opportunity.
You will have frequent meetings, weekly and monthly with the team and seniors to discuss ways to improve the workplace in anyway possible.
About you:
As a Deputy Manager, you will be:
Friendly
Assertive
Approachable
Experienced working with teenage boys
Be flexible with hours and able to work sleep in’s
Must have a NVQ Level 3 in caring for young people and children
Must have a full clean UK driving license
Confident and able to conduct yourself professionally
Able to deal with confrontation
