Branch Manager

Salary: £32,400 – £40,800 per year

Head Hunted Recruitment are working exclusively with a well known and rapidly expanding business who specialise in the Pet and Animal sector

My client has a rare opportunity for a experienced Branch Manager to head up their Bury St Edmunds store. Reporting into the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager will be responsible for empowering your team to deliver the stores KPI’s; maximising sales, controlling costs and delivering first class customer service.

As Branch Manager you will need to have excellent knowledge of pet and animal care and be comfortable in advising customers in this. Knowledge of equine care would be advantageous however not essential.

Leading from the front, this Branch Manager opportunity is a fast paced and demanding role, dealing with both retail and trade customers so you will need to be able to hit the ground running, take a hands on approach and not be afraid to get stuck in.

Branch Manager Responsibilities:

* Take full responsibility for all aspects of running a busy retail and trade store, delivering excellent standards and achieving and exceeding your KPI’s.

* Lead by example and empower your team to be the best they can every day.

* Consistently deliver first class customer service and delight every customer by providing a fast, efficient and friendly shopping experience.

* Play a key role in the training and development of your team.

* Be involved in absolutely everything, from recruitment and scheduling, to stock replenishment and maintaining store standards.

* Full time position – 42.5 hours per week (including Saturdays & Sundays)

About the Branch Manager:

* You will be passionate about working in retail and helping customers.

* Have an interest in pets and animals.

* Have a proven track record of delivering high standards and great results!

* You will need to be physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg bags and boxes.

* You will have at least 12 months experience in a similar role within the retail industry.

* Be able to work as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills.

* Confident and able to use your initiative and be proactive in your approach.

* It is essential that you have a current UK drivers license and access to your own vehicle.
