Welder / Fabricator Supervisor

We currently have a position for a Welder / Fabricator Supervisor to be hands on doing Welding and Fabricating as well as Supervise a busy workshop for a company who specialises within the production of Architectural Metalwork.

We are looking for an Experienced Welder / Fabricator who is able to carry out MIG and TIG Welding including Fabrication experience within the Architectural Metalwork industry (Handrails, Balustrades, Stairwells, Balconies, Canopies etc) who will also Supervise a team of about 6 Welder / Fabricators.

The Welder / Fabricator Supervisor will be required to provide technical advice, knowledge, assistance and intervention to ensure the safe and efficient production / operation of all activities. To carry out checks at predetermined intervals. To ensure adherence to all safe systems of work for all Fabrication activity and to work to company Health and Safety policy at all times.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:
– To be responsible for oneself and the entire Fabrication team activity within their works.
– To oversee and ensure procedures are adhered to for all activities of any shop floor operative, ensure all procedures are liaised with operations manager.
– To ensure materials and equipment is available to meet the operational demands placed upon it in a safe and efficient manner
– To ensure all engineer workloads are covered, maintained & kept to a minimum at all times
– To communicate regularly with all Production management and operational staff to ensure problems are reported & resolved
– Report all machine and plant faults Works Manager and General Manager
– Ensure all daily, weekly & monthly paperwork / check sheets are completed correctly and signed by all operatives.
– Maintain all operatives PPE
