Foam Conversion Production Supervisor

We have an opportunity for an experienced Foam Conversion Production Supervisor to work on a new production line in an expanding company based in Caerphilly

Responsibilities and Duties will include

Overall responsibility for Foam Conversion Dept
Ensure correct staffing, stock and equipment levels in place to meet production targets
Accurate upkeep of all traceability systems for foam including CNC patterns, recipes and foam batch identification.
First level maintenance and maximising CNC tool availability.
Maximise production quality ensuring zero defects
Implementing permanent corrective actions to any internal quality issues.
Train and develop team members
Resolve queries quickly and efficiently
Communicate and liaise with, and escalate issues to management
Maintain a culture that develops a two way feedback and ensure communication takes place on a daily basis
Ensure all 5S boards are updated daily
Production areas maintain a clean and tidy work place at all times.
Ensure all Company Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.

Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience of running foam and programming foam conversion CNC equipment is Essential
Previous Team Leader experience essential.
First level CNC maintenance is desirable.
Knowledge of UDI/Barcoding and other traceability systems.
Familiarity with developing Production Operating procedures.
Previous knowledge of Lean Manufacture methods including 5S.
Flexible approach to working conditions and working environment change.
Ability to work on own initiative.
