Production Supervisor
* Washington, Tyne & Wear
* £33,600 – £36,000 per annum
* Full Time, 6-month FTC
* Shifts: 12 Hours – 3 on, 3 off
A large manufacturing company with multiple sites throughout the UK and Europe is on the lookout for an experienced Production Supervisor.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Operations Manager and improve shift performance, managing a team of 12 – 15 operators.
Responsibilities:
* Production strategies, stock targets and support activities
* Supervise a team of Operatives and Material Handling staff
* Plan and monitor material movement
* Communicate updates to Managers and customers
* Perform inventory management
* Monitor inventory status
* Generate reports on production shortages
* Address customer queries and concerns
Knowledge and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of 5S methodology
* Work on your own initiative with a clear focus on quality
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Flexible to challenges and possible changes
* Good IT skills and flexible with new systems
This position would suit an experienced Production Supervisor with a background in fast moving assembly or material handling.
