KGD are a UK based Engineering Company specialising in the design and manufacture of packaged process plant, equipment and pressure vessels for the oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and food industries. We have an extensive customer base that is local, national and international. Pipe fitting, TIG welding and general fitting are key skills that we require with immediate effect.
Due to our major expansion and increase in workload from recent order intake, we are seeking to recruit both full time experienced Pipe Fitters / TIG Welders and also those wishing to increase their knowledge and experience of different types of manufacture. While Pipe Fitting, TIG welding and general fitting are key skills that we urgently need, applicants with the right attitude to work and who are willing to learn will always be considered. All work will be based at our factory units on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford.
Being a Pipe Fitter / TIG welder at KGD will involve:
* Pipe Fitting / TIG Welding and general fitting to a high standard on materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex.
* Being able to work from engineering drawings.
* Working with our experienced team in the workshop although there will be some local site work required from time to time.
* Be involved in a variety of projects with various materials and opportunities to broaden your skillset
The successful applicants will look to improve or already have the following skills and qualities:
* Experienced in TIG welding (MIG available too)
* Experienced in Pipe Fitting and general fitting work on engineered projects
* Be able to read mechanical drawings with a good understanding of general engineering.
* Show a willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic, flexible and learn.
* Be a team player.
* Self-motivated, reliable and able to complete tasks without supervision.
In return we can offer:
£26,000 – £35,100 per year (dependent on experience and qualifications).
40 hours per week + overtime.
21 days holiday + bank holidays.
