Our client provides a range of social care, special education, community support and consultancy services in the North West of England. The charity is one of the North West’s largest providers of residential homes for children from short-term emergency care to long-term placements. Their fostering service provides family placements in the North West and neighbouring regions.

They now have an opportunity available for a Communications and Marketing Assistant to join them to assist with the marketing and communication of their services and fundraising activities.

Based at their centre in Cheadle, Cheshire, the post holder will be highly motivated, skilled and resourceful with experience of administration, social media and data management, as well as strong communication and influencing abilities.

You will join a small team who coordinate the communications and marketing operations to significantly increase the profile of the organisation, manage the development of the corporate brand, PR and communications to ensure effective, accurate and professional provision of information to stakeholders and the public.

With demonstrable experience in marketing and communication projects or campaigns online, marketing materials, internal communication strategies and events, you will have experience of being part of a similar team and have an up to date knowledge of communication and marketing methods, techniques and procedures.

Educated to A Level standard or equivalent, you will ideally hold a relevant qualification or a desire to work towards a relevant qualification in Communications, PR and Marketing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to write for different audiences and purposes) are essential coupled with experience of working to budgets and KPIs.
