Fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a long-established Main Contractor who undertake new build and refurbishment projects between £1-3 million in value. They successfully work across most sectors including education, health, commercial and residential.

ROLE:

* Ensuring continued and effective construction by specifying and supplying sites with materials and plant

* Negotiating the right price and time for delivery, enabling the project to continue on schedule

* Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different materials needed for each project

* Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation

* Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly

* Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors

* Measure and value the work done on site

* Paying subcontractors

* Liaising with site managers, project managers and site engineers

* Select and source construction materials

* Regularly reporting cost and WIP to Commercial Director

CANDIDATE:

* HNC or above in a construction related discipline

* Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on general contracting schemes

* 3 years or more experience working a Quantity Surveyor
