Quality Inspector (Manufacturing)

Salary: £30,000 per year

Quality Inspector (CMM PCDMIS or Zeiss Calypso) – Northampton – Motorsport

This amazing medium-term contract role for a CMM Quality Inspector on manufacturing is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading Formula 1 business in Northamptonshire. This will be an initial 6-9 month contract with potential to extend thereafter. You will be a key member within the team and the person that secures this position will be developed and given responsibility. Please note that some flexibility on shift is required although this is primarily Mon-Fri 8am to 530pm

What you will do:

Operate CMMmachines running PC-DMIS or Zeiss Calypso software.

Read an interpret CMM data and produce reports

Use hand measuring to double check inconsistencies

Interpret drawings for all GD&T tolerances

What you will need:

Qualification such as C&G, NVQ, ONC/HNC or apprenticeship or extensive experience in lieu

Work in motorsport, automotive or aerospace sectors where high precision on machined parts is required

CMM operation skills on PC DMIS and/or Calypso

Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within a machining environment

Be able to read and understand engineering drawings including GD&T

Consistent & stable history of employment/engagement

Authorised to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
