Financial Controller / Company Accountant

Salary: £42,000 – £78,000 per year

Our client is a rapidly expanding property investment group and they are now looking to recruit a Financial Controller / Company Accountant for their newly renovated head office next to Tower Bridge with the option of working from home on Mondays and Fridays.

This is a highly varied number one finance role in a fast paced and high growth business. Your typical duties will cover:

Managing operational cash flows, project cash flows and capital budgeting

Creation of robust financial reporting tools, budgeting and forecasting implementation of controls and processes, ensuring all controls and risk reporting functions are robust

Development project cash flows and budgets

Maintain books for the firm, including day books and ledgers, invoicing, deposit reconciliations, payment processing and receivables etc.

Regular, ongoing management accounts and project reporting. Ad hoc financial modelling. Develop and improve forecasting in line with strategy.

Producing and filing intrastat, statutory and tax returns for the company. Producing accounts and trial balances for the external accountants. Dealing with the external accountants so that Statutory accounts and tax computations can be filed promptly.

HR: General HR duties including overseeing payroll, staff contracts, pensions and staff benefits, directors tax returns and remuneration strategy. Involvement with the development of organisation structure and plans.

Oversee procurement processes, FX management for stock buying, costings, and supplier contracts and negotiations.

Forming, structuring and leading a team of financial professionals in the near future

We are looking for qualified accountants with experience and skills comensurate to the outlined duties above and due to the pace in which our client is growing you will need to be available to start a new role in 1 month maximum. Interviews are ongoing so.
