Project / Production Planner

Salary: £38,400 per year

Project / Production Planner required for 6 month contract (Possibly going permanent) at Engineering manufacturing company near Stowmarket. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be the main internal point of contact for special project jobs. He/she will be working with the internal teams, Sales, Finance, Engineering and Production to pull together information and plan the projects along with planning shop floor loading, looking at shortages and creating/completion of shop floor works orders to generate pick lists for stock allocation plus booking in of finished goods. There will be some communicating with customers on project progress, planning / booking deliveries to customer sites in the UK and Europe and ensuring this is linked to the shop floor production plan to make sure transport is loaded in a smooth and efficient.
Ideal candidate will have project management and planning experience within an engineering manufacturing environment, have good numeracy & literacy skills and be confident on all IT packages including Excel, keen problem solver and the ability to work independently. Salary c£38,400.
