Materials Tester

A large company based between Maidstone and Ashford are looking to recruit a Materials Tester, initially on a temporary basis working 8.00am – 5.00pm – starting The position could lead to permanent employment for the right candidate after a qualifying period.

Your main duties will include preparing samples for testing under supervision, testing samples, recording your findings and updating daily work records as required – previous experience is not essential as full training will be given.

You will be educated to GCSE or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science subject, have excellent numerical and communication skills, be able to analyse data and have a “can do” attitude.

You will enjoy working within a lively team and be IT literate and be happy to carry out repetitive tasks.

Although this role is working within a testing laboratory the work environment can be dirty and dusty and the role can be a reasonably manual one.
