Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Salary: £45,600 – £54,000 per year

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest Facilities Management companies in the UK based at one of their prestigious clients’ sites in Berkeley, Gloucester.

Location: Berkeley, Gloucester

Hour of work: 37.5-hour week

Salary: £45,600 – £54,000Depending on experience

Role Responsibilities:

• Duties would be planned and reactive maintenance of various buildings in the portfolio.
• Experience with commercial and industrial installations
• Responsible for control electrical fitting & panel wiring of interconnections between panels and electric motors.
• Working to detailed drawings and schematics.
• Wiring 3 phase motors connecting mains power to test machines & carrying out modifications to control panels from schematic drawings
• Wiring switches and gauges.
• Assist with Minor building fabric repairs
• Carry out ad hoc general minor repairs as required

The successful candidate:

• Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or hold an engineering mechanical qualification
• Either working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• We are looking for someone with some of the following mechanical experience; hydraulics, motors, belts, bearings, welding, machining, fabricating, fault finding and repairs.
• Previous maintenance experience working in a commercial environment
• Be flexible & carry out duties which are not specific to your trade
• Hold a UK full driving licence
• Knowledge of Health & Safety & safe working practices, all mandatory Safety training will be given, but specialist training such as IOSH Construction or SMSTS (preferred)
• Strong customer care focus
• Baseline security clearance would be advantageous.
