Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £17.3 – £21.85 per hour

We have a 3 month contract for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• The role will report directly into the Commercial Manager for the contract, supporting the commercial delivery on hard and soft services TFM contract across a range of TfL properties on a GMP contract:
• Utilise CAFM system to commercially manage and monitor the project where applicable.
• Understand the importance of a well-defined and engaged supply chain and work closely with them to improve processes and demonstrate VFM.
• Assist the operational team by driving the commercial aspects of delivery and success for the project
• Assist or produce where appropriate the timely preparation of valuations, submissions of invoices and monitor payment receipt
• Monthly reporting to management on Chargeable Works progress and other tasks
• Identify any unnecessary costs and inefficient activities and discuss these with the commercial and operational teams.
• Contribute where appropriate to the resolution of commercial issues.
• Take responsibility for closing out the commercial issues relative to the tasks or packages that you have been assigned such as Chargeable Works
• Regular client meetings to agree closure of historical issues
• Maintaining multiple spreadsheets, trackers, records and databases

Keys Skills:

• Relevant industry qualification desired – BSc or MSc QS
• Hours of work – 8:30-4:30
