Our client, an award winning financial data provider focused on no-nonsense, impartial investment news, delivers a leading and well received service through websites, magazines, events and data/research tools for consumers and financial professionals around the world. Due to organic growth, they now have an exciting opening for a Sponsorship Sales Manager to focus on a growing portfolio of International Events aimed at the financial sector.

As an experienced Sales Professional you will work alongside the current head of international events to develop and grow sponsorship revenues in the main European markets. More specifically, you will assist in the growth of international events’ revenue through sponsorship sales to asset management companies in the UK and Europe, you will present our clients’ full brand and events’ proposition via email, telephone and in face to face meetings to existing clients and new commercial partners, communicating effectively and confidently with individuals at all levels of seniority. You will undertake a mix of account management and new business development; work closely with an internal events team and audience development team and travel to attend events in Europe, maintaining a growing working knowledge of industry affairs and clients’ needs. The ideal candidate will be a second jobber or more experienced candidate with financial markets or a financial publishing background. Knowledge of the asset management industry, events sector and sponsorship sales would also be advantageous. You will have a track record of performance in sales and be able to influence and negotiate sponsorship deals at senior levels within leading organisations on a European scale. You will be a natural leader with an inspired approach, possess first class communication skills and have the ability to deliver yearly growth. A second European language is also highly desirable.

The successful candidate can expect a base salary of 25-44k dependent upon prior experience with an uncapped OTE of 60k plus an additional and generous benefits package.
