Trainee Asbestos Surveyor

This is an entry level position, with excellent potential for the right candidate to progress into a great career within the asbestos industry.

The role will primarily involve working on site to assist our qualified surveyors to carry out asbestos surveys. Additionally there will be some office based work helping our team with the planning of work and the preparation of Asbestos Reports for clients.

The role requires the candidate to be keen to learn, to be flexible in their working arrangements and have knowledge of MS Office and the internet. Own transport is essential, and any previous experience within the construction industry would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given (no previous surveying experience is required). The candidate may also be required to assist our surveyors in other areas of the country and must be prepared to stay away overnight on a regular basis.

This position offers excellent career prospects with the starting salary increasing substantially upon completion of training which will include, on the job training, attending a course (P402) and an internal ‘sign off’ procedure to become a qualified asbestos surveyor. It is anticipated that this process would take up to 2 years. All travel expenses and accommodation when working away will be provided

This job is based on a Monday to Friday working week of 37.5 hours. The candidate must be prepared for their hours to be flexible as mentioned above to fit in with our clients’ requirements.
