Fast growing division of a Global Process Manufacturer

You will be carry out engineering maintenance and repair work as instructed to established criteria in order to achieve machine start up time targets. You must have experience of working in Manufacturing or Engineering.Lancaster based

·The Electrical Maintenance Technician will ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with company safety policies and relevant Health and Safety legislation.

·Carry out planned maintenance activities in accordance with the established programme and to company engineering standards.

·Carry out fault finding on PLC control systems, AC drives inverters/DC drives controllers.

·Carry out breakdown repairs as instructed and in a prompt timely manner.

·The Electrical Maintenance Technician will work closely with engineering and production teams to achieve production priorities, minimise disruption and successfully resolve problems.

Experience

·Proven experience of electrical maintenance in an industrial environment – FMCG

·Must have excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills and be able to work alone in a production environment. Lancashire based

·HNC/HND Electronics or Equivalent

·Automations experience, wrappers, conveyor systems etc.

·Experience with AC / DC Drives and knowledge of PLC’s, power electronics and electrical installation:

·Allen Bradley ~ SLC500/PLC5/Control logix,·Siemens S7/S5

·HMI ~ Siemens /Allen Bradley

·Drives ~ Control Techniques/Siemens/AB

·Knowledge of robotics would be desirable.

·Able to work shifts and overtime as required.

Salary – £34,829

Shift 4 on 4 off

18 days off every 7 shift pattern
