Accounts Payable Assistant

Salary: £26,400 – £31,200 per year

Overview

Due to continued success this company is expanding their finance team to introduce a further Accounts Payable Assistant to their existing team of 7. The successful candidate should bring a hardworking attitude, lots of energy and the ability to work well in a busy and at times pressurised environment is important. Previous experience in an accounts department would be desirable but not essential.

Accounts Payable Assistant – About the Role

This is a permanent role, working alongside the credit control functions whilst also completing ad-hoc tasks and providing support to colleagues within the department. The ideal candidate will be able to join a high-volume environment and be able to adapt to changing workloads. The suitable individual should have minimal experience in a previous accounting role; however, full training will be provided. This is a full – time office-based role within their Guildford office

Responsibilities:

• Creditor reconciliation
• Checking & posting invoices
• Nominal ledger work
• Multi entity work
• Creditor reconciliation
• Production of month end payment runs
• Ad hoc tasks

The successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:

• Minimum of 6 months experience within an accounting role would be desirable
• Be adaptable to changing work loads
• Previous use of sage would be advantageous
• Great attention to detail
