Commercial Managers for a Central Government Organisation in London

To provide an effective customer relationship management function for ISSC2 shared services.
The post holder will manage the relationship between the Crown Oversight Function and the customers of the services under the individual Memoranda of Understanding.
The post holder will additionally gain and maintain a deep understanding of the customers’ strategic drivers and the likely impact these will have on service requirements from Shared Services Connected Limited (SSCL). This will include liaison with the SSCL business development team to ensure new services are specified appropriately for the customer base, and with customers to ensure services and service levels are defined appropriately.

Main responsibilities:
• Manage the relationship between the Crown Oversight Function and major customers of the ISSC2 contract.
• Manage contractual compliance with the Memoranda of Agreement between Cabinet Office and ISSC2 customers
• Provide the focal point for interaction and communication between the Crown Oversight Function and ISSC2 customers, particularly with regard to early resolution of service-related issues
• Gain and maintain a clear understanding of ISSC2 customers’ strategic drivers and the implications of these on the service provision from Shared Services Connected Limited (SSCL)
• Manage customer expectations regarding service improvement and new service development during the two year transformation period, ensuring new service requests from ISSC2 are appropriate and deliverable
• Manage the customer elements of risk and issue logs, ensuring these are up to date and reflect the progress of the project; prepare for and represent at monthly RAAG meetings
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the SSCL business development team, ensuring any new services proposed are appropriate to the customer base
• Provide regular reporting both within COF and NGSS Programme in line with agreed reporting framework
Person Specification
• Experience in the management of the delivery of supply-chain management services.
• Experience of managing service through outsourced contracts.
• Experience of negotiating suitable commercial outcomes.
• Knowledge and experience of successfully managing change.
• Proven experience of negotiating with staff, customers and suppliers.
• Experience in managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, but specifically at senior management level
