Newark, Part Time, Permanent

£23,000 Pro Rata

We’re looking for a part time, permanent Finance Officer to support our Client’s Head of Finance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of financial matters including the preparation and submission of VAT returns, bank reconciliations, management accounts, journal preparation and monthly payroll.

THE ROLE

The successful Finance Officer will be required to:

• Deal with finance related queries, both internally and externally
• Prepare monthly payroll and management of the pension scheme
• Journal and nominal ledger reconciliation
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and management accounts
• Analysing budgets and expenditure
• Maintain accurate records using Xero and Microsoft Office

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Finance Officer will demonstrate the following experience/qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
• AAT qualification or similar would be desirable
• Experience using Xero and Microsoft Office 365
• Experience using a payroll system and using databases
• Work collaboratively and able to prioritise workloads

This role is 30 hours a week and offering a Salary: £26,000per year, with hybrid working opportunities and flexibility on hours across Monday to Friday.
