Finance Officer

Wise Employment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known Housing Association for x2 temp positions based within their Worcester Office.

We are seeking Finance Officers to join the current shared services team which forms part of the Group Financial Services to ensure the integrity if the finances are upheld so business can make informed decision, confident that the data they are using is accurate

Ideally, you will have experience as a Finance Officer or had experience of working within a Financial Team. Knowledge of the Housing industry would be an advantage but not essential. You will have a passion for delivering an effect and efficient finance service to the business. You will exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills and communication allowing you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. You will be promoting good financial decisions at all times making and representing sound financial advice.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

– Raising invoices for customers calculating fees and charges
– Recording all supplier invoices and making payments when due
– Reconciling monthly statements
– Statutory reporting – notes to financial statements preparation and/or review
– Seek improvements to existing practices to create a higher quality of service
– Chasing overdue payments
– Day to day running of bank accounts, cash book, petty cash
– Dealing with supplier paperwork
– Uploading the integrity and accuracy of data
– Using own initiative to produce spreadsheets

Experience required:

– Knowledge / experience of SAP
– Ideally you will be AAT qualified or working towards your AAT

You will be working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with flexibility on overtime when the business needs require. This role offering £26,000 per year and will be finishing on the 11th November.
