OUR CLIENT COMPANY
Our client is a global online clothing retailer, with over 30,000 products, which ship to over 60 countries. They supply to consumers and prestigious businesses alike, including British Airways, James Bond films, Disney, Coca Cola, The BBC, ITV, Playboy, MTV and Porsche. Their websites attract several million unique visitors per year with active customers globally. They now seek to appoint a new position of Operations Supervisor to ensure they manage their internal operations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

THE JOB
Reporting to the Interim head of Operations this role carries responsibility for providing visible and clear leadership to multiple departments: warehousing, order processing, goods in and returns in order to ensure the highest levels of service are consistently provided, across all business units.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
• To provide leadership and direction delivering operational transformation, ensuring that the plan is effectively implemented across all teams.
• To manage performance effectively via KPIs across all teams, recognizing and rewarding high performance and addressing any areas of under-performance appropriately.
• To plan workload and resourcing activities in-line with expected business volumes and within financial targets.
• To maintain a clear overview of strategic risks, through identifying and implementing appropriate changes and initiatives.
• Responsible for Health, Safety and Quality within the Operation areas.

THE CANDIDATE
This is an interesting and varied role where you’ll need to stay on your toes and have eyes in the back of your head. Customer experience is everything, so you’ll lead your team enthusiastically to make sure everything runs like clockwork all the time.
You will have worked in a busy warehouse operation, probably with an online retailer and have experience developing team work and strong supervision practices across your shift twinned with a first-hand understanding of budget management and KPI setting/management at senior leadership level.

• Excellent commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised with fantastic attention to detail

LOCATION & HOURS
Our client’s operations are run from their Eastbourne based on the Sussex Coast. Relocation Assistance is available for those looking to relocate to the South East. Our client’s new warehousing facility has the capacity to cope with their continued and impressive growth. All international operations are run from the UK except for some local logistics.

There are 40 working hours a week to be worked flexibly, sometimes including weekends and public holidays. You must also be able to attend other sites for which travel may be required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Our client offers a basic salary in the region of £30,000depending on skills and experience.

INTERVIEW PROCESS AND STARTING DATE:
The target start date is as soon as practically possible depending on notice periods. Before that will be a screening interview with Martin Ellis at Recruitment South East. Thereafter will be two interviews at our client’s offices.
