Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
The Company
Our client is a well-established and stable specialist Engineering & Manufacturing company with a fantastic reputation in industry.
The Role
The Design Engineer will be required to work within an ISO 9001 environment and carry out all aspects of design for manufacture of the company’s mechanical products.
Your duties will include:
- Design and Development of equipment and machinery
- Using and exploiting the company’s 3D CAD systems to their maximum capability
- Provide calculations for performance and safety considerations including FEA and FMEA analysis.
- Produce and amend Bills of Material
- Identify improvement opportunities and participate in and lead continuous improvement activities including team kaizen events.
- Project manage new product development as well as existing products and individual one-off projects
The Candidate
- HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Proven experience in design and development
- Good knowledge of a 3D CAD Package
The Package
The minimum salary offered for this position is £48,000 – £54,000
