Senior Project Manager – Curtain Walling

Brief Outline:

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Curtain Wall Senior Project Manager to join one of the UK’s leading specialist Building Envelope contractors

About the Client:

Our client has been established in the Building Envelope sector for the past 30 years. They have an excellent reputation and enjoy a lot of repeat business from tier 1 main contractors. They work on some of the most prestigious projects in the UK including the Olympic stadium, Emirates Stadium, Heathrow terminal 4 to name a few and they are now looking to add a Senior Project Manager on a permanent basis

About the Role:

* Attend contract handover meetings to obtain information on new contracts, understanding the scope of * work and specifications
* Co-ordinate and manage the site supervision/management team on contracts to ensure that Health and Safety, quality, programme and cost controls are being implemented. Evaluate behavioural performance and the team’s ability to manage with a system thinking approach
* Look ahead and plan all aspects of the project, identifying potential challenges bringing imaginative & cost effective solutions
* Report regularly to the Construction director on project progress and matters of Health & Safety to the SHEQ department. Ensure that accident/incident procedures are followed with the correct paperwork in place

About the Candidate:

* Established Senior Project Manager coming from a Building Envelope background
* Preferably based in London or if not, willing to commute
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrate a readiness to make decisions, take the initiative and originate action
* Demonstrate a broad view of issues, events and activities and a perception of their longer term impact or wider implications
* Interact with others in a sensitive and effective way. Respect and work well with others
* Demonstrate ability to logically plan sequential and concurrent workloads in different departments.
* Maintain effective work behaviour in the face of setbacks or pressure.
* Effective leadership and project management skills.
* Demonstrate ability to identify business opportunities
* Demonstrate keen commercial awareness.
* Demonstrate problem solving ability
