Project Manager

My client is a leading international high technology group in Aerospace, Defence and Security. They operate worldwide and turned over almost £14 billion euros during 2012. They employ over 60,000 staff worldwide. They are committed to providing excellence in engineering to all of its customers across various markets
They currently require a Project Manager to work within the Automotive division. The Project Manager will be responsible for all engineering aspects of the project in terms of quality and cost. They will be the ‘face’ of the project for customers, analysing their requirements and prioritising their satisfaction. They need to manage the teams assigned to the project, both at head office and on the customer premises, providing support as required. The Project Manager will be required to monitor project quality and scheduling with monthly review meetings as defined with the customer.

In order to be considered for the role of Project Manager you must:
• Be educated to a degree level or equivalent
• Have a minimum of 5 year’s experience in Mechanical design or stress engineering
• Have at least 2 years technical background in the Automotive industry or similar
• Have relatable Management experience

Advantageous but not essential:
• Masters Degree in related field
• Knowledge in APQP

In return, my client will offer the successful Project Manager a basic salary of between £16.8, 8% Employer Pension, Life Assurance and Flexible Working options. The role will be multi-located between my client’s sites in the West Country and the Midlands. Travel expenses will be covered.
