They have invested over the years in new CNC machines and continue to grow and invest further. This is a state of the art facility, that produce components for various markets including Subsea, Oil & Gas and the defence markets. Job Profile
As the successful CNC Miller you will be working alongside a friendly and welcoming team of other highly skilled Machinists for very approachable manager, offering a stable and well-structured role.
Duties
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machining centres
- Programming training can be provided
- 3, 4 and 5 axis milling
- Experience of Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol controls would be an advantage
- Machining complex parts and components from various general engineering materials such as Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometres, plug gauges, verniers, screw plugs and ring gauges
- Able to work as part of a growing turning team
Skills & Experience
- Program, set and operate CNC mills
- CNC Milling experience at least to a high setting standard
- Ideally have Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol experience
- Understanding of CNC Programming using G Codes
- Understanding tolerances
- Must have a can do attitude to fit into the team
- Programming experience would be an advantage but will consider any controls as training can be provided if needed
- Able to read engineering drawings
Hours of Work & Benefits
- 37 hrs per week
- £15.00 – £17.00 per hour
- 25% shift allowance
- Overtime paid after 37 hrs per week x1.5hrs
- 25 days holiday
