Stores Operative

Salary: £26,000 – £28,800 per year

List Recruitment is seeking a Stores Operative for a safety equipment supplier based on a large industrial site in Scunthorpe. Working 40 hours per week – 8 hours Mon – Fri, this role will be offered on a temp – perm basis, through List Recruitment for 13 weeks before transferring over to permanent employment with the company.

The main duties include

• Issuing Personal Protective Equipment to employees and contractors
• Maintaining accurate issue records – computer & manual
• Dealing with customer queries and concerns
• Communicating with customer personnel on site and providing service in response to customer requirements

Maintaining the stores in a good condition

• High standard of housekeeping
• Conforming to company and customer Health and Safety regulations & best practice
• Meeting customer’s high expectations of personal and company image

Delivering goods to customer

• Making deliveries daily or as required by customer to various parts of the site
• Delivering the goods to other customer locations as required
• Strict conformance to on site Health & Safety rules especially Health and safety rules relating to driving and conduct on customer’s site.

Stock Management

• Taking delivery of goods from Head Office for storage in the stores including manual unloading of delivery and locating the stock within the stores area
• Periodic checking and counting of stock to ensure stock matches records
• Communicating with Head Office concerning all stock movements, including discrepancies on deliveries
• Maintaining accurate stock records, both computer and manual
• Input stock receipt and issues data into company and customer computer systems, and use computer systems such as email, spreadsheet and other programs as necessary to fulfil role

General

• Strict conformance to company rules and regulations as set out in the company handbook and drivers and vehicle handbook.
• Strict conformance to customer on-site rules and regulations
• Maintenance and care of company and customer equipment in accordance with company and customer rules
• Work flexibly with other team member(s) to meet changing customer and operational requirements.
