Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Our Client has a provided high quality Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services for over 50 years, concentrating on full Design & Build, Project Management and Facilities Services. From 5 carefully selected geographical locations this well respected Building Services M&E Contractor offer a national service and local coverage for a wide range of public and private sector organisations.

The main focus of the company is to continually offer a leading M&E service portfolio which spans heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, plumbing, lighting, power, communications and security. All contracts are managed to the highest possible standards, from small re-wires to major projects, typically ranging from 50k to £20m. The businesses capabilities extend from design & build and project management to prime contracting and green solutions.

The London office is looking to attract a talented Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC) to help service a number of contracts relating to the Commercial, Retail, Leisure and Social Housing sectors. With long term framework agreements in place and an extremely busy order book from which to offer a varied workload, this is a genuine opportunity for a career focused Engineer to benefit from a rapidly growing office.

To be considered for this role interested parties must be experienced Mechanical Design Engineers (Building Services) with experience working in a technical design environment, ideally with a competitor M&E Design & Build Contractor or Consulting Engineering practice. You must be able to put together full heating, ventilation and air conditioning design specifications for a wide spectrum of buildings, operating industry standard software – Hevacomp, AutoCAD etc.

Many of the projects are completed directly for the end user and therefore a confident, intelligent approach is essential, as is a rounded understanding of the wider construction process and a degree of commercial awareness.
