Salary: £522 – £696 per day
Occupational Therapist with Moving and Handling Assessment Experience
My client one of the largest providers of Occupational Therapy Assessments and Equipment in the UK is urgently seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to undertake assessments with social care providers of service users within their own homes.
The assessment is an opportunity to ensure that the service user has the correct equipment, is being moved and transferred safely and care workers are using the most up to date techniques. This is a project last initially 4 months but may extend beyond this timescale.
Day to Day
You will liaise with current service users and providers to diarise assessments
Ensure correct equipment is installed and in good working order
Observing and coaching on the correct use and application of equipment
Report findings on each client
Your Background
- Completing Moving and Handling Risk Assessments
- Completing Moving and Handling Care Plans
- Identifying/prescribing/reviewing specialist equipment
- Providing training in appropriate techniques
