Assistant Accountant – Part Qualified

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are recruiting an experienced Part Qualified Assistant Accountant for a large business distribution company based in Sheffield. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Chesterfield.

THE JOB:

The main purpose of the role is to ensure all working capital related GLs are reconciled monthly along with the related provisions and providing management with quality and timely information.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant duties will include:

Month end reconciliations across multiple ledger and companies for debtors, stock and creditors
Working capital provision calculations and review
Managing the stock reconciliation process
Leading annual stock take process supported by management
Daily and monthly reporting of stock levels and fill rate
Daily and monthly reporting on stock losses within the business
Virtual stock reconciliations for stock held at Vendors
Ad hoc duties to support the needs of the team and the business

THE PERSON:

Previous experience is essential
You will be educated to degree level, 2:1 or above, in a finance based subject
The successful candidate will be studying towards ACCA / CIMA
You will have excellent analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel ( V Lookups, Pivot Tables etc) is essential
Experience of dealing with large volumes of data is desirable
The ability to communicate with staff at all levels is essential
